Martell VS Cognac is crafted from eaux-de-vie from the Grande and Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois growing crus. It is aged at least two year in French Tronçais oak barrels. Martell’s use of French Tronçais oak barrels is a departure from the French Limosin barrels that most cognac houses use. The Tronçais oak has a finer grain than the Limosin oak that allows the eaux-de-vie to age with lighter tannins and a delicate woody flavor. Martell VS is a bright young fruity cognac ideal for sipping or as a companion for many popular cognac cocktails.
