Kelt VSOP is a Grand Champagne cognac that is aged in young (4-12 year old) Limousin oak barrels for more than 4.5 years. The cognac is also blended with much older cognacs. Once blended, Kelt then literally ships off the Limousin barrels for an additional three months aging at sea aboard an ocean liner. This process is called Ocean Maturation and is designed to bring out the hidden qualities of the Limousin Oak. The result is a cognac with a faint wood nose and notes of grape and oak on the palate.
