Kelt Commodore is a Champagne Cognac that has undergone a three month Ocean Maturation process whereby the cognac is sent on an ocean voyage in Limousin Oak barrels. The Ocean Maturation process is unique to Kelt and is designed to bring out the hidden qualities of the Limousin Oak barrels during aging. According to Kelt, this cognac attempts to marry the qualities of a Grande Champagne VSOP, Napoleon and XO cognacs. The result is a cognac that retains the fruity and vanilla notes of VSOP cognac while also achieving the flavorful deep candied fruit and apricot and cigar tones of more mature cognacs.
