Rastignac/Cognac Château des Plassons

Rastignac was founded in 2008 by the Pannaud brothers, David and Julien. The Pannaud Brothers began making cognacs after purchasing the 15th century Château des Plassons in Bors de Montmoreau in the Charente department of southwestern France, about 65km from Cognac.

Château des Plassons and its vineyards are in the appellation of Bons Bois. The Pannaud Brothers produce Rastignac and Château des Plassons branded cognacs from the vineyards surrounding the Château and age them in the Chateau’s cellars. Château des Plassons cognacs are made exclusively from eaux-de-vie from grapes from the Château’s vineyards. Rastingnac cognacs are made by blending the Château vineyards’ eaux-de-vie as well as eaux-de-vie from surrounding appellations including Grande Champagne, Petite champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois.

While Rastignac cognacs are available in North American, Rastignac caters to the Chinese and Hong Kong markets with a website and a Facebook page in Chinese language.
